Khao Yai

Khao Yai is Thailand's oldest and one of its most renowned national parks, situated in the Sankamphaeng Mountain Range, about 200 kilometers northeast of Bangkok. Established in 1962, Khao Yai National Park spans over 2,000 square kilometers and is part of the Dong Phayayen-Khao Yai Forest Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is celebrated for its rich biodiversity, hosting a variety of flora and fauna, including elephants, gibbons, hornbills, and even wild tigers.

 

Khao Yai features diverse landscapes, from dense tropical forests and grasslands to scenic waterfalls like the famous Haew Narok and Haew Suwat.
